Description
The SoundTube IPD-SM500i-II is a Dante®-addressable surface-mount directional speaker incorporating one 5.25-inch polypropylene woofer (134 mm) and one 1.0-inch (25.4 mm) convex titanium tweeter with a BroadBeam® waveguide, housed in an injection-molded, glass fiber–reinforced ABS enclosure. This design delivers focused, high-quality audio ideal for targeted sound coverage in commercial environments.
Low-latency digital audio, power, and control are delivered to the speaker via standard category cable, with connection made to an STNet-Switch or other PoE / PoE+ switch. The unit may also be powered using a 24V DC barrel connector for non-PoE installations. Speaker configuration and zoning are managed easily through dedicated software.
Mounting hardware for the IPD-SM500i-II is included and features SoundTube’s proprietary Stealth™ bracket mounting system, allowing unlimited directional aiming with a clean, low-profile appearance. A security knob helps reduce tampering after installation. The system also includes a detachable mounting plate designed for convenient pre-mounting in wall or pole applications.
